Jo and Matt chose Barley Wood in Wrington, Somerset. An absolute stunning wedding venue set in amongst woodland with views overlooking the Mendip Hills.

Having met Jo and Matt a year before their wedding day I knew right from the start that this was going to be the most gorgeous wedding. Right from the start Jo and Matts ideas excited me and I could not wait to be their floral designer.

Jo had already chosen her wedding gown which to my delight was a Claire Pettibone gown named 'gardenia'. A pretty boho style gown which in turn reflected the overall style of the wedding.

In terms of flowers Jo and Matt opted for peaches and cream with soft touches of dusky pink, along to with the odd succulent dotted in amongst the florals! The bouquet contained a lovely mix of roses, freesia, phlox, larkspur and waxflower complimented with soft silk and satin ribbon trails.

Keeping with the relaxed vibe Jo decided to wear her hair naturally with soft waves and plaits, and rather than a full flower crown we created flowers that could be easily clipped into her hair.

Having included succulents in Jo's bridal bouquet we felt Matt wearing a relaxed tweed suit would look great if his buttonhole included these too.

The centrepieces also reflected the bouquets and buttonholes, pretty flowers were arranged in different height vases and to bring the outside in were set in amongst tree slices and moss. The top table was an absolute show stopper with a natural 18ft floral runner!
